Geldzucht, op-zichzelf-en-niet-op-de-ander-gerichte seks en machtgeilheid staan vandaag centraal in de strijd van het individu om de hele wereld aan zijn voeten te krijgen. De wereld draait om MIJ en niemand anders.
Mensen blijven uitgeput, teleurgesteld en gekwetst achter als ze nog maar eens afgeperst, gemanipuleerd, en misleid werden. Op grote schaal (zoals human traffiking of de bankwereld) en op kleine schaal (gebroken relaties of het gebrek aan vertrouwen bij vrienden) We leven in een gebroken wereld. Daar heeft Anouk helemaal gelijk in. Zelfs in haar woordkeuze bewijst ze dat ook zij zelf daar niet immuun voor is.
Het zogenaamde gat in ons hoofd, waardoor dit allemaal veroorzaakt wordt, kan volgens haar niet gefixt worden. Zelfs christenen lopen vaak nog rond met een behoorlijk gat in hun hoofd.
Volgens mij is er maar één die toch nog hoop geeft voor deze gebroken wereld en dat is Jezus zelf. Jezus kwam niet naar de aarde om de gelovigen een schouderklopje te geven, maar om de gebrokenen te helen, om de zwakken te redden en om de zieken te genezen. Voor eeuwig. Dat is geen hole in the head. Dat is een hope in the heart.
