Een prachtig lied dat de laatste tijd veel op Studio Brussel gedraaid wordt: "Laughing With" van Regina Spector. Blijkbaar de themesong van de Chronicles of Narnia-film "Price Caspian". De films heb ik nooit gezien, behalve de eerste dan in tekenfilmversie uit de jaren '80, maar ze zijn blijkbaar toch echt de moeite waard.
Het zijn prachtige verhalen, iedereen is er zot van en er zit -blijkbaar- een diepe christelijke boodschap in. Kan ook niet anders met Clive Lewis als schrijver, zeggen sommigen. Net zoals de Lord-of-The-Rings-films die ook door een christen geschreven zijn (John Tolkien). Ik zeg trouwens Clive en John ipv CS & JRR, dat intitialen-gedoe geeft me het gevoel dat die mensen meer waard zouden zijn dan anderen. Clive Staples Lewis was als mens uiteraard geen haar beter dan mijn moslimbuurvrouw, reiki-collega of lesbische tante. Mensen die een steentje hebben bijgedragen aan christelijke waarden, zijn nog altijd mensen. Dus ze hebben een voornaam (daarom zeg ik ook altjid Peter of Isabelle ipv dokter).
Zelf zie ik niet zoveel verschil tussen Lord Of The Rings en films als Harry Potter en The Matrix. Het gaat allemaal over goed en kwaad en het goede overwint (bijna) altijd. Het zijn prachtige gelijkenissen met de echte wereld.
